Family has always been a priority for me. As you might see from my family photo, I come from a family of six, with one older brother and two sisters, one older and the other younger, all of whom have attended and graduated from BYU. Although we are each certainly very unique in our own respective ways, with differents preferences, educational choices, passions, hobbies, and interests, a few things ultimately tie us all together: we all deeply value our relationships with one another and our faith in God. It is these foundations upon which all other things are built in my life.
When it comes to life outside of school and the workplace, I am a devoted BYU Cougar and Utah Jazz fan (thus, I am consigned to a state of eternal disappointment), and am also deeply passionate about the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I also enjoy practicing meditation. During my spare time you might find me at the local golf course (carding the occasional Birdie, but far more frequently the all-too familiar Bogey), or even running in a local half-marathon. Additionally, I, like so many other Utahns, have an insatiable itch for being in the outdoors--especially when it comes to hiking, camping, and being in the mountains. Although I don't get to spend much time there, I also enjoy being at the beach (a personal favorite place to meditate) whenever occasion permits. (It certainly doesn't permit here in Utah. But, since I regularly visit San Diego, where I lived for two years while doing a service mission for my church, it permits enough--at least, to make life bearable).
